Legendary comic book artist Tim Sale has been hospitalized

As DC Creative Director Jim Lee confirmed, artist Tim Sale was hospitalized with “serious health issues.” Few details have been revealed at this time, but there has been an outpouring of support for Sale following the news. Sale is known for his work on titles such as ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’, ‘Spider-Man: Blue’ and a host of other seminal stories over the years. In particular, Sale had a major impact during his collaboration with writer Jeph Loeb. We wish him a quick recovery.

Petition for Morbius to be reissued a third time crosses 25,000 signatures

Sony recently attempted to capitalize on the meme culture that emerged around “Morbius” by re-releasing the film in theaters, an experiment that failed spectacularly. As a result, a prankster created a petition on urging the studio to release the film theatrically for a third time, and (lord, help us) the petition has already surpassed 25,000 signatures. The rather hilarious petition reads:

“This weekend, enthusiastic fans from all over the world had the chance to see Morbius in theaters again. Although it was a great opportunity, there was a problem: we were all busy this weekend. Some some of us were washing our hair, others we had to study, and some of us had already made other plans. Please don’t interpret this as disinterest on our part. If you should Morbius be released in theaters again, let us know, and we’ll be there for you unless something happens.

There’s almost no chance Sony is dumb enough to do it again. Almost.

James Gunn appears to be teasing a DC project tied to The Suicide Squad

Well, well, if it isn’t ‘The Suicide Squad’ director James Gunn who plays with the fans a bit. The filmmaker has already brought a very successful spin-off to life with ‘Peacemaker’ and he has confirmed that other projects are in development. However, the details remained vague and he even poured some cold water on this alleged Amanda Waller show. In this case, he seems to be referring to something involving Peter Capaldi’s The Thinker. Again, the image has absolutely nothing to do with what Gunn and Warner Bros. have in development. Time will tell us.

Marc Guggenheim provides update on HBO Max show Green Lantern

We’ve been hearing about this supposedly epic “Green Lantern” show on HBO Max for some time now. However, during a recent appearance on the “Hall of Justice” podcast, writer Marc Guggenheim provided an update on the state of affairs. Apparently it’s moving forward, as he’s currently working on the season finale.

“First of all, I think it’s important to note that I’m not directing this show. So I have even less license than usual to talk about it… I wish I could talk about it. That’s really, really cool. It’s obviously very near and dear to my heart… I can say that I’m — it’s funny, I’m working today, actually, on the outline of the season finale.”

So there we have it. No word yet on a release date, but somewhere in 2023 seems likely at this point.

We recently learned that Sony wants to make more money, so it’s going to re-release “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in theaters Labor Day weekend with what it’s dubbed the “Funnier Version.” “. For those feeling particularly eager to see the film with additional footage, tickets will go on sale August 9, as reported by Fandango’s Erik Davis. Whether there will be enough interest to help push this record-breaking film past the $2 billion mark at the global box office remains to be seen, but it’s definitely something Sony has its sights set on. with this little waterfall.

The cast of Thor: Love and Thunder made a public service announcement for the Alamo Drafthouse

Filming for Loki season 2 has begun, and here’s a set photo to prove it

Here we go ! As cinematographer Isaac Bauman confirmed on his Instagram Stories (and documented by others on Twitter), filming for “Loki” Season 2 has officially begun. The show will bring back Tom Hiddleston’s trickster god for another round of timeline-related shenanigans. Although not much has been revealed so far other than the fact that a lot of the cast from the first season will be reprising their roles. Batman Azteca Animated Movie Heads To HBO Max Latin America

In some rather interesting news, HBO Max Latin America will welcome a unique new incarnation of “Batman” as a new animated film takes the superhero to the Aztec era. “Batman Azteca: Choque de Imperios” is set to be directed by Juan Meza-León (“Harley Quinn”) with Horacio Garcia Rojas (“Narcos: Mexico”) in the title role. So what can we expect? A synopsis for the film reads:

During the time of the Aztec Empire, Yohualli Coatl – a young Aztec boy – experiences tragedy when his father and village chief, Toltecatzin, is assassinated by Spanish conquistadors. Yohualli escapes to Tenochtitlan to warn King Moctezuma and his high priest, Yoka, of impending danger. Using the Temple of Tzinacan, the Bat God, as a lair, Yohualli trains with his mentor and assistant, Acatzin, developing equipment and weapons to face the Spanish invasion, protect Moctezuma’s temple, and avenge the death of his father.

No release date has yet been set, but HBO Max is expected to release it in the United States as well. We’ll keep you posted as more updates come to us.
